It is listed as a mobile app, but you can download it on a tablet. Just make sure your search is set to find mobile apps as well.

Here's what it looks like in the iTunes App store.

When you open the app for the first time you will be asked if you want to allow notifications.

Allowing notifications means you will get messages from the app. This could include things like your weekly bin reminder, a change to your collection (maybe a truck is broken down or it is a code red fire day), or a reminder about extra collections, like around the holidays.

When you first download the app you'll click ADD LOCATION to add your first property (you can add more later if you want)

As you type your address, a list of addresses will come up.

The app works for addresses in Surf Cost Shire only.

On the next screen you can fine tune the address and give it a name, like "Home."

Can't find your address?

The search function of the app uses Google Maps to find your address. Some addresses won't show up, for example new builds or remote properties.

If this happens for you, try searching just your street name, then adding the street number in manually on the next page.

If it still doesn't work, let us know.

Add another address

You can add up to 30 different addresses to SCRRApp.

Click your property name at the top and select Add Location.

Or click the three horizontal lines at the top left to open a menu where you'll see another place you can Add Location.

You can download a rolling 12-month calendar from the Links tab in the app. The calendar in SCRRApp also shows your extra bin collections for the Christmas period.

How to search

Use the search bar to type in "fruit" (for example), and you'll see it goes in the green-lidded FOGO bin.

You can also click on the item to see more information.

Or, you can click one of the bin colours at the top to see what goes in that bin.

It acts like a filter, so if you select the recycling bin, then type "plastic" (for example) it will show you what plastics can go in the recycling bin.
