International Women's Day event

Council hosted an event with author and advocate Jane Gilmore on Wednesday 5 March. Thanks to those who came along.

Jane shared her important work towards gender equality, headlined by her decade-long FixedIt campaign which continues to change how media reports on men’s violence against women. 

The TEDx Talk speaker and author – who has published Fixed It as well as Teaching Consent and Fairy Tale Princesses Will Kill Your Children – also highlighted how the community can take small steps together to advance gender equality.

Winchelsea and District Women's Brunch

We're proud to support the Winchelsea and District Women's Brunch on Tuesday 18 March.

 

Anglesea Art Space exhibition

Resilience, featuring solely women artists. This multi-disciplinary showcase features artists creating meaningful works, each accompanied by an artist statement reflecting on the theme of Resilience.

 

The exhibition will be held from 20 February to 10 March: Thursdays to Mondays between 10am and 4pm.

 

Council will run a free art therapy workshop alongside the exhibition on Tuesday 4 March (6.30pm to 8.30pm) at Anglesea Art Space. Resilient Hearts: A Creative Workshop for Women will provide women with a safe and supportive space to explore and engage in creative processes.
