One Act Play Season

Torquay Theatre Troupe is pleased to present its One Act Play Season from 3-12 August 2023.

Godzonia

Godzonia was written by Georgie Oulton during her own Covid lockdown in a foreign country. It begins when Kate decides she must make her way home to Godzonia. This play offers vignettes of humanity amidst apocalyptic chaos and the power of kindness in a world starved of connection as it unravels through laughter, love, heartbreak and hope.

Last Panto in Little Grimley

Last Panto in Little Grimley, written by David Tristram, focuses on a die-hard little theatre group which has been struggling to stay relevant for a number of years. With damaged props, low memberships and a budget in the single digits the committee are determined to continue, whether it be for the greater good of entertaining the community, or serving their own personal agendas. The play takes us from the planning stage through to the mishaps of opening night of the theatre groups annual pantomime.
