Celebrating 100 years of Taylor Park Torquay

Taylor Park Torquay is 100 Years Old - Something to celebrate!

Friends of Taylor Park and the Torquay Bowls club are holding joint 100th year celebrations over a weekend in February 2024.


Saturday 24 February

A self-catered family picnic (BYO food, drink, chairs, tables, etc). Entertainment provided.

11.30am: Wadawurrung Traditional Owners Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony
12.15pm: guest speakers, including Surf Coast Shire Councillor Paul Barker
12.45pm: community entertainment including Men's Shed singers, Star of the Sea Choir and the Friends of Cosy Corner singers
3.00pm: finish

Location: the duck pond area

Theme: the history of the park and conservation of fauna and flora

Everyone welcome! Organised by Friends of Taylor Park

Sunday 25 February

Breakfast and open day, organised by the bowls club
