Kurrambee Myaring Kindergarten

Kurrambee Myaring Kindergarten is made up of 4 kindergarten rooms and a large natural outdoor play space giving children opportunities to expand their friendships through play with children in other kindergarten groups at the service. The kindergarten also includes an atrium area with vegetable garden adjacent to a large kitchen with child sized benches.

Here at Kurrambee Myaring Kindergarten we know that early education is fundamental for future learning and growth.  Our program is play based and encourages language, communication and relationships.  Through our program children develop a sense of agency, build resilience, foster independence, work collectively with class mates, garner theory of mind and utilise lateral thinking strategies.  These skills enhance their abilities to become successful, competent and capable learners who make a valuable contribution to society.

We encourage understanding of sustainability and include re-used and recycled collections in children’s play.

We are committed to equity and believe in all children’s capacities to succeed regardless of diverse circumstances or abilities. We have the facilities to include children with physical disabilities into our program, with an accessible playground and accessible facilities such as bathroom with a hoist.

All cultures are recognised, supported and celebrated. We wish to acknowledge the Wathaurong People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we stand.

Educators build relationships with families based on meaningful communication and a mutual respect for the reciprocal roles that each play in the development of the child, with a shared vision about what is important for children and families.  This in turn creates a positive climate of clear shared intentions that lead to quality outcomes for all.

Kurrambee Myaring Kindergarten offers a variety of incursions and excursions, such as road safety, dog safety, many of the kindergarten groups engage in bush and beach kinder programs as well as visiting the local community including the secondary college and supermarket.

We look forward to welcoming all families to our kindergarten and becoming a part of their child’s educational journey.
