Street tree planting

Two Winchelsea streets will gain additional greening with planting of a total of about 40 trees.

Planning is underway for planting of 12 lemon scented gums (Corymbia citriodora) in Witcombe Street, between the Princes Highway and Hopkins Street, and 25 smooth barked apple gums (Angophora Costata) in Austin Street between the highway and Batson Street.

Up to 10 Pyrus Korean Sun ornamental pears are planned to be planted in Austin Street if space allows.

Planting is scheduled to start later in July.
