Upgrading the seating at the Wurdi Baierr stadium to install a new retractable seating system for up to 500 seats, creating a single showcourt.
Creating a showcourt with new tiered seating will enable the stadium to host representative and exhibition games or one off showcase games. The seating will create a better atmosphere for the players and enhanced experience for the spectators.
The better seating will support larger events including shows, conferences, school events, community events and private hirers.
This project is currently in the planning stage and will shortly be open for tender. Installation is expected in February or March 2025.
We acknowledge the Australian Government's contribution of $500,000 through the 'Investing in the Community' program.
