Spring Creek pedestrian bridge

Building a footbridge over Spring Creek near the Spring Valley Bike Park and Spring Valley Playground, replacing the informal pallet bridge.

This footbridge will provide a crossing point across Spring Creek that will be accessible for all the community.

Planning is currently underway with council officers working closely with relevant agencies involved in this area.

Removing the pallets will allow the creek to re-establish its natural flow, as well as reduce the erosion and impact on the creek bank and bed, from the bikes being ridden over the creek. 

Minor vegetation removal will be required as part of the bridge works, these will be offset by new plantings as part of the planning approvals. Further re-vegetation works will be considered once the creek has returned to its natural flow.
