Early Childhood Educator Hours:
23 hours per week
18 hours contact time, plus 5 hours non-contact time (negotiable spread across the week)

Contact time:

Tuesday: 8:45am – 2:45pm
Wednesday: 8:45am – 2:45pm
Thursday: 8:45am – 2:45pm

Our Kindergarten Educators:

  • Ensure the provision of a high quality education and care program that meets the approved learning frameworks and National Quality Standards set by the Victorian Government; and
  • Support an inclusive and safe environment for children where innovation, creativity, active play and resilience are encouraged.

What you will bring to the role

We are currently looking for an Early Childhood Educator who is compassionate, dedicated and driven to making a positive impact on the lives of our local community members and their families.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and practice
  • Knowledge of approved learning frameworks, National Quality Framework and national law and regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements

  • Minimum Certificate III in Children’s Services from an ACECQA approved training organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families.
  • Experience in assisting in the development and implementation of an educational program in accordance with approved learning frameworks.
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and an understanding of how this impacts on daily practice.
  • Excellent skills in verbal and written communication with children, staff and the wider community.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with all staff.
  • Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.
  • A current level II First Aid qualification, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR.
