The Winchelsea Health Club is celebrating significant success since its transition to a 24/7 operation, seeing a marked increase in membership and a diverse range of the community using it.

With membership numbers currently standing strong at 270 and growing, the club has become a central hub for fitness and wellness in the community, having doubled its membership since 2022, from 134 members.

Since moving to a 24/7 operation in March, the Health Club has attracted a broad age demographic. The latest figures show a well-balanced membership base with representation from all age groups. There is approximately 50% of members in the 16 to 35 age group and 50% of members in the 36 years and above age group.

“The diversity of age highlights the club’s ability to cater to a variety of fitness needs, from younger members just beginning their fitness journey to older members focused on maintaining their health and well-being,” said Cr Adrian Schonfelder.

“The club is proud to report a broad age demographic and an even distribution of male and female members. It demonstrates the club’s inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone in the community,” he said.

The flexibility of the club’s membership options is another key factor to its success. With no cancellation fees, unlimited fitness classes, and the choice between direct debit or upfront memberships - it offers a range of options to suit different lifestyles and budgets.

While the Health Club is open 24/7 for members' convenience, it’s staffed 42 hours a week across six days, ensuring that members have access to professional support and guidance.

As the Winchelsea Health Club continues to grow and evolve, it remains committed to supporting the health and fitness goals of the entire community, regardless of age or fitness level.
