Video: Deakin research confirms benefits of beach and bush kinder

Beach and bush kinder is highly valued by local families in Council’s kindergarten programs, with research by Deakin University confirming the various benefits for children.

Applications for Council-run kindergartens for 2026 will open Monday 7 April 2025.

All six Council-run kindergartens run beach or bush kinder as part of the four-year-old program, for a few hours each week at various sites in Torquay, Jan Juc, Anglesea, Winchelsea, and Lorne.
