Ready to launch: Climate Emergency and Library of Things grant

Join like-minded community members as we launch the 2025 Climate Emergency grants and the one-off Library of Things grant at the EcoConnect Surf Coast: Empowering local action event on Wednesday 2 April 2025, 6pm at Common Ground Project, Freshwater Creek.  Hear about environmental projects your local community are working on, de-mystify the grants process and connect with passionate people.

Climate Emergency grants is an annual grant program of $5,000 and $10,000 to fund community led initiatives that:

  • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions,
  • Help our community adapt to the impacts of climate change, and
  • Engage and enable our community in climate action.

    Previous grant recipients include Community Garden 3231 and Bellbrae Primary School.

The one off Library of Things grant will provide funding of $20,000 to a group to:

  • Establish and run a Surf Coast Library of Things (LoT).
  • Enable community members to borrow a range of household items.
  • Drive a circular economy, through supporting a share economy.
  • Build a stronger community through sharing skills and making new connections.

Event runs 6pm to 7.30pm. Light food and drinks provided!
