Election signage is prohibited on Council land, in accordance with Council’s Election Advertising Signage on Council Land Policy.
Election signage on private land must comply with Clause 52.05 of the Surf Coast Planning Scheme. The scheme allows election advertising signs without a permit as long as they meet the following:
Election signage cannot be displayed at any stage;
Election material must also be authorised. Find out more information on this requirement on the VEC’s website.
